Import Data

There are three methods for importing past emails into the archive:

• Import Mbox - Imports individual Mbox files from the network storage share to the appliance’s archive. This method works best for importing all data on an Exchange server or importing individual Mbox files.

• Import IMAP - Imports emails directly from an individual Outlook mailbox into the appliance. This method works best if mail has been previously journaled to a specific email account or if mail from specific users mailboxes needs to be imported. It requires the user name and password for each mailbox being imported.

• Import Email - Imports individual email messages, such as an eml file from Outlook Express.
