Import Status

Import Status contains links to screens that allow the administrator to review various import information.

Procedure 1-14- Perform the following steps to view Import Status:

Step Action
1 Click the MESSAGE TOOLS icon.
2 Click Import Status.

• Import History - Allows review of imports that have run in the past.
• Directory of import - Lists files in the import directory of the configured network storage. These files are ready to begin the import process.
• Directory of import-complete - Lists files that have been imported into the appliance successfully. Files in the import directory are moved here after a successful import.
• Directory of import-exception - Lists files that could not be successfully imported into the appliance because the mail did not conform to regular mail format standards. A message is not imported unless one of the From:, To:, or Cc: fields contains a valid email address. The most
common reasons for failure to import are listed below:
— A blank ‘To:’ field
— A blank ‘From:’ field
— A blank ‘Date:’ field
Note: The appliance displays “The import process is not currently
running.” if the import process is not running.
