Application Audit
The Application Audit feature allows an administrator to view user in the following areas:
• Search
• Message views (includes downloads)
• Holds modification
Audit data may be downloaded and viewed using data processing software (Excel...etc.). For convenience, a “preview” of data may be viewed before download. This provides a quick view of the data format. Preview only shows the first 10 records of data.
Procedure 1-15- Perform the following steps to perform an application audit:

1 Navigate to the Application Audit screen: Click ADMIN > ARCHIVE TOOLS > Application Audit. The following window is shown:

2 Select the application audit type from the drop down menu:

There are three choices from the drop down menu:
• Created searches - Shows all searches executed between the selected date range.
• Message views - Shows which user viewed or downloaded messages for a given message.
• Message hold and release - Shows all hold and release activity during the selected date range.
The screens shown below are from a Created Searches example.
3 Select a Starting on date and an Ending on date by clicking inside the date windows.

4 Click Preview or Download.
If Preview is selected, the following window is shown:

Note: The RESULTS column depicts the number of email messages contained in the
search results.
If the Download button is selected, you will have the option to either open the file with a selected program or save the file.

The saved file will be titled search.csv and can be viewed using Microsoft Excel.

Copy and paste the web link into a web browser further analysis of the audit file. For example: from the
figure above, you would copy https://192.168.1.219/SearchView#{audit_id:1} and paste it into a web
browser.
If Message views is selected for the Application to audit field, the saved file will be titled view.csv.
The file may be viewed with Microsoft Excel. Copy and paste one of the web links into a web browser for
a more detailed analysis.

If Message hold and release is selected for the Application audit field, the saved file will be titled hold.csv. The file may be viewed with Microsoft Excel. Copy and paste one of the web links into a web browser for a more detailed analysis.
