Microsoft Outlook Plug-In

The ArcMail appliance allows you to search your email archive inside the Microsoft Outlook email client.

This plug-in works with Outlook versions - but your setup experience may vary based on which .net framework is installed

Procedure 1-46- Perform the following steps to install and configure the Outlook Plug-in:

Step Action
1 Run the Outlook Plug-In setup file.

2 Click the Accept button to continue plug-in installation.

3 The publisher verification screen is shown. Click the Install button to continue.

4 The following screen is displayed after a successful plug-in installation. Click the Close button.

5 Open the Microsoft Outlook email client and the following window appears. Enter your fully qualified domain name.

6 You may be asked to install a certificate if you do not have one. Click the Yes button to install the certificate. If you do not have a valid, signed SSL Certificate installed on the defender, adding your domain will fail, and you will be unable to go any farther.

7 A new ArcMail toolbar is created . Click this toolbar and the login window is shown:

8 Enter your login credentials and click OK. An ArcMail folder is created under the Inbox folder.
