8. WordPress Plugins and GDPR

Plugins are a difficult topic at the moment.
To keep it short – it’s likely that all major plugins will eventually make themselves GDPR-compatible. However, for this to happen, WordPress itself needs to come out with standards and tools for GDPR compliance. All this will take time. Meanwhile, starting from May 25th, you are still responsible if you’re not GDPR-compliant. If you’d like more info on this, read the post on 3rd party plugins and GDPR.
Right now, your options are either to wait or get a developer to help you with compliance. If you can afford to wait a bit, we recommend checking back in late April or early May.
