Do my contact forms need a consent checkbox?

Short answer

No!

We do recommend adding a disclaimer. Something like this:

We will use your data to contact you for discussing the terms of our consultation service.

Long answer

From a legal perspective, by submitting the contact form, the visitor gives their consent to store and use their personal data to contact them. You would need a separate checkbox for asking consent if you wanted to use this data for otherpurposes as well.

However, note that once you no longer need the data, you should delete or anonymize it.
