Introduction

ArcMail’s appliance works in conjunction with your existing email server to rapidly archive all email (inbound, outbound and internal), index it for easy discovery/recovery and store it in its own secure storage array.

This guide describes how to:

• Configure settings, including general setup and archive settings.

• Search through the archive for email messages based on user and content criteria.

• Add users that will be able to search and view their email archive.

• Configure network settings.

• View mail statistics.

Archived Messages

The following figure illustrates how archived messages are processed.

The mail server forwards the message to the Archive Listener. The Archive Listener stores messages in the archive.
