Authentication Ports

The following ports cannot be used for authentication:
• 3306
• 4000
• 5432
• 10000
• Any port less than 1024, with the exception of port 443.
• Any port greater than 65535.

Note 1: The following message is displayed if any invalid port numbers are used: Invalid authentication port specified.
Note 2: The port configuration fails if you enter the same port number for local and Active Directory authentication.
Note 3: The port configuration fails if you attempt to submit an active directory port without performing a bind first.

Procedure 1-29- Perform the following steps to enter authentication ports:

Step Action
1 Click the CONFIGURATION tab. Click Authentication Ports. The port authentication screen is shown:

2 Enter the desired port numbers for local and Active Directory authentication.
3 Click the Submit button. The following message is shown if the port authentication is
successful: Authentication ports update successful. Changes will take effect after
Apply Configuration. The following message is shown if the port authentication fails:
Authentication ports update failed.
