Rolloff Configuration

The Rolloff Configuration screen allows the administrator to configure the maximum age of message files stored on the appliance. When turned on, messages older than the specified number of months are deleted from the appliance.
By default, the ArcMail appliance is not configured to remove older archived messages once a specific retention age has been reached. This is called Rolloff. This section describes how to set the Rolloff frequency.
Procedure 1-31- Perform the following steps to configure Rolloff Configuration:
Step Action
1 Click the CONFIGURATION icon.
2 Click Rolloff Configuration.
3 Configure the following options:
• Roll-Off frequency - Select how often (frequency) you want the appliance to scan and delete old messages. The roll-off frequency options are:
— Never
— Daily
— Weekly
— Monthly - Aged messages roll-off at the first of each month.
— Yearly - Aged messages roll-off at the first of each year.
• Backup messages scheduled for roll-off? - Select Yes or No from the drop down menu.
4 Click Save to save the specified rolloff configuration.
5 Click Save & Start Immediately to save the specified rolloff configuration and start the Roll-Off immediately.
